Ivanka Trump recently appeared alongside her father, President-elect Donald J. Trump, and surrounding family members in their first postelection interview, in New York City. The 35-year-old businesswoman wore a nude short-sleeved dress and opted for gold accessories, including a $10,800, 18K yellow gold diamond bangle from her eponymous jewelry line.
Soon after the interview it was revealed that one of the fashion mavens employees sent an email to journalists offering style details on the expensive bangle.
Seeing as Trumps eldest daughter is heavily scrutinized by the press and media alike, for the conflict of interest that lies in promoting her own business at high profile political appearances, it didnt take long for social media users to take issue with Ivanka hawking her own expensive bangle on the segment. Many users felt that Ivanka was using this important interview as a marketing opportunity.
Ivanka Trump brand president President Abigail Klem said in a statement that a well-intentioned employee was to blame for the release who is still making adjustments post-election. We are proactively discussing new policies and procedures with all of our partners going forward, said Klem.
This isnt the first time Ivanka has worn and promoted her own design.
In fact, throughout her fathers campaign, Ivanka was spotted in many pieces from her own label. She notably wore a $138 sheath dress from her clothing line to introduce Trump before he accepted the Republican Partys nomination for the presidency at the Republican National Convention, back in July. Shes worn a number of other dress and shoe styles from her collections to appearances during the political campaign. Self-branding will always be controversial for high profile figures, especially for those with political ties, but it doesnt seem like Ivanka plans to change.

Why can’t she wear her own stuff?
How unless someone took a closeup would anyone know what brand that jewelry is?
Did she offer her brand without being asked or at all?
This is an attempt to try and remove her as an adviser to her daughter.
yes I kind of think she owns it and unlike Michael Obama no one is trying to curry favor with a gift.
So, they’re upset because she’s wearing her own clothes? Whose do they expect her to wear?
Now that. Is a woman.
She will play an important role in our Countries future. Along with her brothers.
Why?
Even if she was subtly promoting her own jewelry line, so what?
First off the bat, we gotta stop apologizing for everything.
Forget the bracelet, I wanna know why the interviewer dipped her face in clown makeup.
On the red carpet at some swanky soirée a media drone asks Ivanka who is she wearing. Ivanka replies l’m wearing me!
The butt-hurt media skanks are just jealous of the elegant Ivanka. Nancy Reagan was savaged by the Democrat media 30 years ago for wearing clothes donated to her by American designers. But it’s totally okay with the Democrat media for Hillary to engage in blatantly criminal behavior.
And they can stop shaving their armpits ...we need time to adjust
The follow up advertising is not necessary
Turns her appearances into the Home Shopping Network
She should wear her own stuff but not follow up,advertise it
It will get publicity without her saying a word
Employees need to stfu because they do not help the brand in this situation
Like father, like daughter!
Ata go Ivanka!
Do these people realize how incredibly hypocritical they show themselves to be?
Not one peep about the obvious conflict of interest from the Clinton Foundation accepting 10s of millions of dollars from foreign governments while Secretary of State.
But Trump’s daughter, not an member of the government, wears jewelry from her own line, an *that* is a conflict of interest???
Answer: no, they do not realize how hypocritical they appear. They have no shame, no ability to critically see themselves.
Wait, Michelle wears a 10K tent she calls a dress from some sort of hollyweird designer that we, the taxpayers, pay for. But Ivanka can’t wear a $138 dress from her own fashion line?
Liberals are going bonkers, go piss up a rope you dummies
Looks like material you’d find on a La-Z-Boy recliner in a cheap Mexican cathouse...
That’s the nicest $12,500 potato sack I’ve ever seen.
But, to wear it as clothing.....
I like it best braided. ;?)
you forgot Kirby vacuum cleaner bag smocks and coats
I don’t honestly know anything about Ivanka or her business, but i love to sew and create my own clothing just to suit me. I always want to wear my own designs to special events so I don’t blame Ivanka one bit. She should be proud of her own stuff. JMHO
