Not sure if media is spinning it to shield the woman or make it sound like ‘stupid’ woman does it.

A woman caused the ‘accidentsl dischsrge’. Only time they say it this way is to give leos cover for stupidity.

I see that my last comment was ambiguous. Let me correct that.

You proposed to amend the rule:

(1) Treat every gun as if it is loaded.

by making it read read:

Treat every gun as if it is loaded and has a round chambered.

You need to firmly and permanently strike out that addition, which is wrong and confusing.

Please do not compromise this or any of the other established rules with an unneeded, superfluous modification.

Nor do I. I have to find a safe place to park where I can re-arm without alarming the public.

I doubt the people in the article were in motion either. I bet a conversation turned to the similarity of the two guns when the driver, safely parked, was re-arming. Why he would hand anybody a loaded gun under such circumstances is beyond me.

I've taught several people about gun handling. They don't get to touch a gun until they can recite from memory the four safety rules. They never see ammunition and a gun in the same room. Ammo isn't near the gun until we get to the firing range.

They are weapons. I’m proud of all of mine.

Check every weapon to see if it is loaded and to render it safe, even if the one who handled it before did so.

That’ll be a relief to her.

Maybe the hospital will waive her bills.

The title is fake.

She wasn’t “at a Raleigh gun show.”

She was outside in her car.

The title is fake.

This is therefore fake news, news pushed with an agenda.
