Starbucks coffee tastes so bad, the customers probably don’t even notice if the server adds a little spit to the cup before it is served.

So go to Starbucks and ask for a drink, and say “that’s an executive order”.

When they ask for the name, say Trump.

When they ask for money say “I don’t have to pay, I have white privilege.”

Then say “Your Fired” when you leave.

This could be fun.

Dunkin Donuts went and did some research and found a better brand of coffee to use. I have to admit...they’ve improved alot in the past three years. I flew into Melbourne, Australia back in the spring and sat down at a D-D operation out in a shopping district. Great coffee....very friendly people...four-star franchise operation. They aren’t just a plain donut operation anymore.

I’d rather dip a cup in a portable toilet and drink that, then give them a cent for their burnt tasting garbage.

I take it a barista is the server /waiter/waitress

Barista is a ten dollar name for "guy who pours coffee".

I’m going to be a spoilsport and say this is not a great idea. The baristas work very hard and put up with a lot of carp. They did not choose the coffee methods and they are not the corporation. They understand they are lucky to have a job in this economy. They also have to do a lot of work that has nothing to do with coffee, like bathrooms and garbage and mopping floors.

Leave the kids alone. You don’t have to embarrass them on top of all this.

It’s a bad idea because they might spit in your coffee.

The last time I was at snarbucks a few years ago a guy in there was hitting on every guy in the place. He hugged every guy also, except me. I never went back. Talk about sexual harassment.

I’ve never been inside a Starbucks but maybe I’ll go. What a great idea! Love it!

I agree. The problem with Starbucks is typically not the hard-working people behind the counter who are trying to eke out a living, it’s with the executives and a good portion of the clientele.

starbucks sludge is disgusting. It baffles my mind that people pay for that swill.

If you want the best coffee and don’t want to make it yourself, head to McDonalds.

You want to really confuse them. Go into one of those places and just ask for a cup of coffee. Do not preface with anything or apply any adjectives to it. Just say I want a cup of coffee and watch them go thru a million questions. The walk out.

A barista is the guy/gal that makes your cup of over priced specialty coffee.

**************

Baristas are like actors. They put on a show for the consumer to make them feel like someone with special skills made that cup of coffee just for them. The “performance” and the lingo (e.g., vente, grande) give some people the feeling of a coffee buying “experience” and justifies a high priced cup of coffee in their minds.

I prefer a simple cup of coffee at a fair price without all the theatrics and the PC atmosphere.

My first paycheck job was behind a drugstore soda fountain and coffee was 5 cents for a bottomless cup. That’s a lot of inflation to witness in a lifetime.
