Cruz would have been cast as another Akin or Mourdock

I thought, at first, Cruz could. No. Too many Republicans didn't like him and there is no way he would have stolen as many semi-sane (D)emocrats. No other Republican would have fought back like teh Donald and humiliate the establishment and press.

Trump was supposed to happen. I believe that.

Cruz would attack but he would be the angry religious guy going after a woman. That would not be good for religious people

But what will Cruz and the rest of the republicans do next time? Will they be more in your face or be too polite they are almost guaranteed to lose?
