Horrifying experience. Hard to believe no better warnings or assistance from authorities. Hope and pray everyone there is okay.

We in Tennessee ate just starting to reap the effects of closing out all the fire roads and allowing them to overgrow. Federal regulations have endangered much of the state, as we are not used to fires spreading that fast, even in these drought conditions.

The winds peaked at gusts of 87 mph, spreading burning embers across the area and starting numerous other fires. When a fire a mile away can spawn other fires that quickly, thing can go south in a hurry.
