Maybe it's time we wake up a bit. 1) Trump won by narrow margins in 3 states. 2) Podesta came out and said it's not over 3) Hillary and Obama soon after came out and said it is over 4) We were all happy and figured the rest of the effort to get Trump into office was just a formality 5) We stop worrying about watching the ballots and the machines 6) The Dems go dark, nothing from Hillary, Podesta, Obama questioning the election 7) Stein files for recount, we all (me included) say it's just a joke, a fund-raising scheme...and she raises lots of money. 8) Stein gives us soothing words - that she knows that Hillary lost, instead she just wants a complete tabulation, so as to legitimatize the results. 9) Hillary's people join the recount effort 10) No one on our side bothers asking why the Dems would want to 'legitimatize' Trump's victory 11) The big money requests from the state of Wisconsin comes in, we laugh...we told you so, just a fund-raising scheme 12) Stein shuts us up by paying up 13) So our main theory is blown out of the water - Stein/Hillary are serious about the recount. 14) Two more theories left: A: They want to legitimize Trump's victory B: They think they can overturn the results of the election
Does anyone think that "A" is the answer?
If not, is anyone concerned that "B" may just happen? Are Trump's lawyers watching (if so, they're awfully quiet...totally opposite of Bush's lawyers in 2000)? Are RNC lawyers watching? Do we know the chain of custody of all of the ballots/machines?
Finally, if the answers to the above are no, then are we prepared for Hillary to take office?
I fully expect them to try and steal the election and thus the Presidency. If the Trump campaign and the RNC (maybe the Republicans are in on it) can’t be bothered to do anything about it what do you expect us to do about it? If it comes to it and the people need to take up arms I’m sure there are many on FR who will answer the call. We aren’t there yet so why worry over what we really can’t change?
Even the Clinton campaign admitted that Trump’s lead is greater than any recount has ever overturned. In PA, Trump leads by 70K votes.
You guys really need to stop hyperventilating over this BS. Stein is just doing her best to 1) avoid blame for costing Hillary states like Wisconsin, 2) become the new face of liberal America, standing up against evil Trump, 3) and working to deligitimizing Trump.
Agree that’s possible, and it is a better outcome for them than a clean Trump victory. At worst (for them), Trump is installed by the House, so they can again claim he was ‘selected’. Another outcome is that the House chooses someone more ‘mainstream’ (i.e., Open Borders), like Ryan or Rubio - although I’d hate to be trying to defend my seat after casting that vote. Yet another outcome is that it goes to the Courts...at that point, Obama will install Merrick Garland to have the 5th vote.
Hard to see a downside for the Dems, which is why IT NEEDS TO BE STOPPED...and which is why I posted this.
I should add that Hillary’s silence on this issue speaks volumes. She could get on T.V tonight and reiterate her concession speech, make it absolutely clear that she will not be the President of the United States. She could shut this down but as usual, she’s not ready to lead.

Remember how angry she was when Hillary joined the effort. I think that Hillary joined in order to keep Stein from folding like a deck of cards and running with the the lion's share of the money.
If the recounts aren’t done. Two things can happen the respective legislatures could reward the electoral votes as they see fit or those electoral votes are subtracted from the total. I think its about 30 electoral voters if they are not counted then the new total is 538 - 30 = 508 electoral votes. The new winning number would then be 254 + 1 = 255 electoral votes. Trump still wins since he has 306 - 30 = 276. In my world 276 is greater then 255!
Regarding the state legislatures rewarding the votes as they see fit. In all 3 states the GOP controls the legislature so them going to Hellary is highly unlikely. I guess one can make a “tin foil hat” argument and claim it is.

But given who these people are, Trump and the RNC would be VERY STUPID to not be on top of this, until then.
I think I’ve read all the arguments about this, and I can’t figure out why all this money for the recount will be spent to no avail. There has been time for machines to be tampered with, and a box or two, of ballots to be discovered all 100% for Clinton, but nothing seems big enough to swing the vote. Maybe they are angling for a do over, or a delayng action go give Obummer more time to start a war or two and stay in office. Just don’t have a clue how this will benefit the Dems.
Your panic is natural, but not justified given any of the facts. Finding 10,000 more votes just isn’t going to happen, let alone overturning 2 of the states. Hillary needs to overcome all 3, including the 70,000 lead in PA.

Well it’s human nature to panic when the dirty rats always seem to have the law the judges and all the corrupt media on their side plus remember we are not used to winning so much so our nerves are still on edge!
Thanks...that’s how my mind (and a lot of our minds) work. We know these people and we understand their thirst for power...and we know that if they can take (really hold) power by cheating big time, they certainly will. My only point is for our side (as in Trump/RNC) to NOT sit on our butts and let them get us into a nightmare scenario...because they WILL do that, if they can find a way, and given what’s taking place now, I think they’re up to something.
Lots of boxes will be found in cars, where all ballots were cast for Hillary.

If three states’ electors can be successfully tied up so that only a partial slate is voting, would it be possible for the Clinton team to file a last-minute challenge in another state that would effectively give the electoral vote to Hillary?

Sure, all it takes is a friendly judge and a Republican Party lulled into thinking the election is over.
Once they do this, the MSM will scream that Trump didn't get the required 270 votes, and point to the 12th Amendment language, declaring that there are 538 members and he didn't get a majority. The Dems will then file Federal lawsuits.
The election will go to the new House of Representative, and then the groups behind Hillary and Soros, and the MSM will start working on the Members of Congress to change their votes, because of some “December Surprise”, against Trump.
The one thing to remember is that the Dems don't care how evil, or nasty they have to be as long as they win, and have the MSM to cover for them can rationalize what they have done.

I think that they they’re trying to delay the recognition of the electoral votes from these states beyond when the Electoral College meets. But they’ve already lost PA. So they are totally lost!!!!!
They will, however, try to turn the Electoral College for Hillary. We’ll see how that works! Phooey!
