Gergen didn't mince words last night on CNN, as Trump's victory lap last night in Cincinnati met with scorn and derision from the CNN contributor.
"This is goodbye to American leadership in the world. Goodbye to globalization. He’s bringing America home. He’s going to lead a nativist, nationalistic, populist movement and if you want to join up with him fine. If you don’t, forget it.”

It’s funny how nobody really watches the video, he clearly says it’s going to leave “some” people saying that. What he said sounds pretty accurate leaving foreign affairs to his cabinet and focusing domestically.

All of the hand-wringing, bleeding-heart liberals who believe so much in “globalization” can give their own charity donations to their feel-good recipients. But they can no longer decide that the rest of also need to do so. And I am THRILLED by the new direction on the horizon for America, as well as the chance to keep a little more of our money instead of spending to upgrade mosques all over the middle east or pay for studies of homosexual relationships in south Africa or whatever.
