Must Read: Retired Marine Destroys NFL Players Who Disrespect America’s VETERANS
Political insider ^ | Col Jeffery Powers USMC

A retired Marine Colonel’s open letter to the commissioner of the NFL about recent protests of the national anthem is going viral. The Marine thoroughly and consistently destroyed Roger Goodell for lacking the “moral courage and respect” it takes to do something about players disrespecting our military heroes by sitting down during the national anthem.

Retired Marine Col. Jeffrey A. Powers went hard after Goodell, whose spineless inaction against these players says an awful lot about his own level of patriotism and respect for our veterans.

The NFL consists of “multi-millionaire athletes who never did anything in their lives but play a game,” Powers wrote, and now they “disrespect what brave Americans fought and died for.”

The retired Marine also correctly pointed out that cloaking this disrespect in First Amendment arguments is nonsense. The NFL is a business, and they can fine employees for violating codes of conduct. They do it all the time.

“You fine players for wearing 9-11 commemorative shoes yet you allow scum on the sidelines to sit, kneel or pump their pathetic fist in the air,” he seethed.

Powers challenged Goodell directly, saying “You lack the moral courage and respect for our nation and the fallen to put an immediate stop to this.”

The entire letter can be read at Allen West’s website and is well worth taking a look below …

Commissioner, I’ve been a season pass holder at Yankee Stadium, Yale Bowl and Giants Stadium.

I missed the ’90-’91 season because I was with a battalion of Marines in Desert Storm. 14 of my wonderful Marines returned home with the American Flag draped across their lifeless bodies. My last conversation with one of them, Sgt Garrett Mongrella, was about how our Giants were going to the Super Bowl. He never got to see it.

Many friends, Marines, and Special Forces Soldiers who worked with or for me through the years returned home with the American Flag draped over their coffins.

Now I watch multi-millionaire athletes who never did anything in their lives but play a game, disrespect what brave Americans fought and died for. They are essentially spitting in the faces and on the graves of real men, men who have actually done something for this country beside playing with a ball and believing they’re something special! They’re not! My Marines and Soldiers were!

You are complicit in this! You’ll fine players for large and small infractions but you lack the moral courage and respect for our nation and the fallen to put an immediate stop to this. Yes, I know, it’s their 1st Amendment right to behave in such a despicable manner.

What would happen if they came out and disrespected you or the refs publicly?

I observed a player getting a personal foul for twerking in the end zone after scoring. I guess that’s much worse than disrespecting the flag and our National Anthem. Hmmmmm, isn’t it his 1st Amendment right to express himself like an idiot in the end zone?

Why is taunting not allowed yet taunting America is OK? You fine players for wearing 9-11 commemorative shoes yet you allow scum on the sidelines to sit, kneel or pump their pathetic fist in the air. They are so deprived with their multi-million dollar contracts for playing a freaking game!

You condone it all by your refusal to act. You’re just as bad and disgusting as they are. I hope Americans boycott any sponsor who supports that rabble you call the NFL. I hope they turn off the TV when any team that allowed this disrespect to occur, without consequence, on the sidelines. I applaud those who have not.

Legends and heroes do NOT wear shoulder pads. They wear body armor and carry rifles.

They make minimum wage and spend months and years away from their families. They don’t do it for an hour on Sunday. They do it 24/7 often with lead, not footballs, coming in their direction. They watch their brothers carted off in pieces not on a gurney to get their knee iced. They don’t even have ice! Many don’t have legs or arms.

Some wear blue and risk their lives daily on the streets of America. They wear fire helmets and go upstairs into the fire rather than down to safety. On 9-11, hundreds vanished. They are the heroes.

I hope that your high paid protesting pretty boys and you look in that mirror when you shave tomorrow and see what you really are, legends in your own minds. You need to hit the road and take those worms with you!

Time to change the channel. Goodell has long been ruining football with liberal concepts, and allowing NFL players to disrespect the national anthem while fining them repeatedly for trying to honor 9/11 victims or police officers killed in the line of duty is just the latest example.

It would be interesting to go back into Goodell’s background, his military service, and that of his family. I suspect it is either nonexistent, in the distant past and/or meager.

His father was a Republican senator who served in the Air Force during the Korean war. I can find no service record for his son.

This week we had a police officer killed in Tacoma. Many have asked the Seattle Seahawks for a moment of silence before Sunday’s kick-off. The Seahawks stand for the Anthem and link arms. One regularly kneels or sits.

So far, no response from the team.

I agree with this totally. While some losers on the street decide it is their right to disrespect or burn the flag and call it free speech, this is not the case here.

This is a private business and a billion dollar one and it depends entirely on fans.

Roger Goodell thinks it’s cute to fine a player for doing an innocent dance in the end zone. He thinks it’s fine to use part-time referees whose inconsistency and ineptness are ruining the game.

But he thinks it’s okay to offend his fans by allowing this kind of disrespect.

No, baby, it’s not.

Well said Colonel. I’m sure we can put together a company of Marine Veterans and piss on their team’s flag the next time they decide to kneel and dare them to do anything about it. Semper Fi. Who knows, maybe some of their own teammates might join in their ass whipping. It happened to my platoon in boot camp by our DI, we sure were a determined bunch after that.

Roger goodell was the son of a Rockefeller Liberal New York Senator Charles Ellsworth Goodell.

He was spoiled little rich kid, a Senator's son, who, unhappy with life, decided to pay back those meanie flyover country Rednecks by destroying their favorite sport.

Goodell is to the NFL what the Democratic Party WAS to America.

His days coming.

Discovery channel Mike Rowe:
“I turned the channel, and watched another group of students dance around another pile of burning flags at another expensive university. I couldn’t tell where they were, but occurred to me that wherever they were – it probably wasn’t a trade school. To my knowledge, no one has ever burned a flag at a trade school.”
