(Newsmax) – In telephone conversations with Donald Trump, FBI Director James Comey assured the president-elect there was no credible evidence that Russia influenced the outcome of the recent U.S. presidential election by hacking the Democratic National Committee and the emails of John Podesta, the chairman of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.
What’s more, Comey told Trump that James Clapper, the director of National Intelligence, agreed with this FBI assessment.
The only member of the U.S. intelligence community who was ready to assert that the Russians sanctioned the hacking was John Brennan, the director of the CIA, according to sources who were briefed on Comey’s conversations with Trump.
“And Brennan takes his marching orders from President Obama,” the sources quoted Comey as saying.

Having once been a liberal I can attest to the fact that membership in the club affords great psychological benefits. There is an intense sense of belonging, along with a powerful drug-like high derived from being above the “rubes” in intelligence and perceived social esteem.
This is why they always seem to eschew reason for emotion. They have occupied a warm, psychologically rewarding perch for some time now.
Liberals have gone from unquestioned occupation of the moral high ground, to being reviled by precisely the audience they’ve always played for. It is a psychological imperative, not a political one, for them to rationalize their defeat. It cannot possibly be that their superior ideas have been rejected, so they just didn’t get their message out, or it must be the Russians, or something.

They used to be somewhat credible back in the early 90's, right before they started charging to read their writer's opinions. Any headlines I've seen by them since have been questionable and misleading.

This is a massive problem as the CIA was never supposed to have its nose in US politics and never this overtly. They are going to find a massive investigation and overhaul of this agency going on behind the scenes because Brennan took them this way. This is a tool the dems had control of and now have sacrificed.

Give evidence of a “fit”. I merely made the observation that I was surprised that my local affiliates were parroting the MSM line. The NBC affiliate reporter even resorted to a CNN feed to ramp up the nonsense. She had a tragic, rueful demeanor when she reported it. For her, Trump’s collusion with the Russians, an established fact, she reported, proven by government intelligence, was almost too much to take.
