Great quote for Gen. Brady. My first tour, I was with 498th Med. Co. in Qui Nhon. Then Major Patrick Brady was commanding the 54th Med. Det. in Chu Lai. He was on his second tour flying DustOff.
As a senior AC that loved being in the field and away from the company, I was loaned out to the 54th for a couple of weeks. Though Major Brady was gone by then, his unit members passed on first-hand accounts of his service. He was the real deal for many of us in Dustoff.
I came back from one mission serving the 54th, so shot up, that maintenance wasn't sure they could fix the Huey. But thanks to a praying Mom at home, my crew members all stay safe.

Well kiss my Grits and get started about it.
There are several people here who will disagree with us. I don’t know how you know but I saw the packages of prepared food myself.
Regarding the payment method: The gift shop is always so crowded with people and merchandise, I wonder how CB keeps people from just walking out without paying the bill. Who would even notice in all the congestion and people milling about?
I wish I had bought CB stock years back. Not only has the stock price steadily risen, the company pays over $1.00 per share in quarterly dividends.

Whata putz, Obama with an afro!
Obama and KDick are picture putz/dorks!
You blew my Pale/Med diet with that picture.:)
Never tried it over eggs, but will. I am not a big pepper lover.
I eat grits with sugar and sometimes with a bit of milk. YUMMM
My wife has that recipe with a can cream of mushroom soup instead of the chicken soup, 16 ounces of bacon bits and a pound of Jimmy Dean Sausage sauteed/pan fried separately and blended with the other goodies as a middle American warm you up casserole before baking the casserole.
One of our younger relatives, a trained chef, cracks 8-10 eggs and keeps them whole in a measuring bowl until the last 10 minutes of the cooking time. He pours the eggs on top of the casserole, grinds pepper, med. sea salt and ground De gorno cheese on top of the eggs and finishes the casserole in the oven.
Then, he takes a boning knife to cut the casserole around each egg and lifts them up with a sturdy spatula tino plate the casserole on warm plates for a rather complete breakfast.
All of us are cpr trained, just in case.
This younger relative has a great saying about food.
“No Food is worth dying for, however, food like this is worth killing for, if someone tries to get your share.”
We love Cracker Barrel - decent food at a good price. However our local CB is very poorly run - they are always out of baked potatoes, and they are changing some of the traditional menu items that have been comfort favorites for many years. Fortunately we have several within easy driving distance.
Now that sounds delicious!
It is delicious, and my wife makes copies of the recipe to hand out after dinner when people who have ODed on her casserole want the recipe.
We leave out the eggs, when we take it to another home. She pre cooks it in a good size pyrex casserole dish. We take it where we are going, and she re heats it about 15-20 minutes @350 before dinner.
I was very disappointed that the Reuben at CB has thousand island dressing, horseradish mustard NOT available.
Corned beef on rye NEEDS horseradish mustard. Otherwise it’s like lamb without mint, or Abbott without Costello.
The sangie was OK, but I’ll get a burger next time, or bring in my own hot mustard...
I will be honest w/ you......I would never order a Reuben from CB. I do love a horseradish mustard or mayo mix, yum!
Hey thanks.....I made this for a church dinner tonight and it was great. And there wasn’t any left.
Diatomaceous earth is the best eradicator of fire ants. They track it into the nest and in a couple of days, no more ants.
There only two reasons I can think of my Cracker Barrel is as popular as it is:
1. Biscuits
2. Country fried steak profusely slathered in heavy gravy.
