Making up a joke “holiday” that is two days away from the agreed-on date of a real holy day is the kind of joke that atheists love. There’s a war on, and Christians are losing because they laugh along with the world at this kind of nonsense.

You must be pushing eighty. Only someon without a pop culture clue would think that Festivus is anything but a joke.

Or, you have been in the backwoods too long.

Or, my third theory is that you are an engineer and they sucked the fun part of your brain somewhere between civil engineering 101 and thermodynamics.

It’s a fun joke that is “designed” to contrast the phoniness of the commercialism of the modern, retail, non-secular celebration of Christmas.

If you are sick of the Glamour Christmas vs the traditional celebration of our savior...then you should embrace the cynicism of Festivus.
