My Dad thought that maybe his leukemia had returned.
If your father had been diagnosed previously by someone other than the VA, why did he go to the VA when he thought he was having a recurrence?

I don’t know.

He’s dead, so I can’t ask him.

After he died, I had to settle his estate.

He wasn’t making much money. He had social security and a small pension from his civilian job.

It wasn’t enough for the VA to worry about.

He led patrols forward of the friendly lines in the Korean War.

I suspect he felt that the VA owed him a blood test.
