Deshaun Watson, the Clemson quarterback, is the best player in the game and his performance will determine the winner of this game.

I’m surprised there wasn’t a thread yesterday about the yacht sailing, drug filled boat ride that the NY Giants WR corps took a week before the playoffs.

Might have accounted for the multitude of drops.

Looked like a real gangster pic and no white guys invited :)

I did see some white women lol.

Can’t see a rookie (Dallas) beating Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers vs. Brady. Wow. that would be great.

All of the games this past weekend sucked.

Meh...Clemson in a runaway (as opposed to a blow-out).

As much as I really like Nick Saban from his time at U-Toledo and MSU, I believe he will not be “out-coached” but, ‘Bama will be “out-talented”.

OK going to go out on the limb and predict by Quarter:

1st Qtr - Clemson 14 Alabama 7
Halftime - Clemson 21 Alabama 17
3rd Qtr - Alabama 31 Clemson 28
Final - Alabama 41 Clemson 31

Clemson O will have advantage early, Bama D will adjust at Halftime, and by 4th Qtr the constant bama pounding will wear out Clemson D.

Well put. I don’t think Bama will let him put up 400 yards again, though. If the DL sticks to their assignments, and keeps him contained in the pocket, he won’t burn them nearly as much.

I predict Watson will throw for 3 touchdowns...and 2 interceptions. Clemson will live and die by his performance - and it will end up 31-24 ‘Bama.

It will come down to if Bama gets yet another defensive score or not. If they do, they win. If not, Clemson will win.

The Bama D is pissed off at their performance (or lack of) last year. I expect (hope) they play like their ratings.

The Bama O has been underwhelming since LSU. It is about time to move forward. Hopefully Sark will make that happen.

I cannot give just one score. If the Bama Offense show up:

Bama 35 Clemson 20 (most points from the 4th QTR)

If Clemson channels last year, Tigers 28 Bama 20

My beloved Pitt Panthers defeated Clemson 43-42 at "Death Valley," Nov 12, 2016.

Pitt also defeated Rose Bowl contender Penn State, 42-39 Sept 10, 2016.

Unfortunately, Pitt lost its bid at the Pinstripe Bowl vs Northwestern 31-24, Nov 28, 2016.

All-in-all a semi-disappointing, semi-encouraging season for Pitt.

Oh well, "Hail to Pitt!"

Numbers are regular season stats in yards:

Alabama Offense....... 40 Pass 9 Run
Clemson Defense....... 11 Pass 20 Run

Clemson Offense....... 7 Pass 37 Run
Alabama Defense.......9 Pass 1 Run

On defense, Clemson should stop ‘Bama’s passing game and could slow ‘Bama’s running game.

‘Bama’s defense should stop Clemson’s running game cold but the Clemson offense could have success with college’s 7th best passing game. ‘Bama’s 1st against the run but 9th against the pass.

Looks favorable for ‘Bama but if Clemson’s run defense holds and they find success in their very good passing game it could be close. Obviously, a good passing offense scores points more quickly than a running offense. So if one team had to come from behind, Clemson’s passing game would have a better chance than Alabama’s running game.
