Similar to Aristotle’s first cause?

And the Andromeda Galaxy is due to collide with our Milky Way galaxy in about 3 billion years. We will become a more chaotic elliptical galaxy.

The simple fact that the Andromeda Galaxy is just barely visible to the naked eye, on a good night, makes me believe in a creator. There are just too many simple facts that reveal this. There will always be something just beyond the then current instrumentation to be able to prove. Enjoy it all while it lasts.

The light from most stars in distant galaxies come from stars that don’t even exist anymore.

Light from the most distant observed object emanated about 13 billion years ago. But that galaxy, if it still exists, would be about 45 billion light years away right now. There are parts of the universe far enough away that they are moving away faster than light travels. Light from those parts will never reach us.

Look at the quantized redshift. Then get back to me.

The expansion of the Universe represents a lot of energy. Where did the energy come from? And don’t say from the Big Bang. That energy predates the Big Bang. Next step is to read St Thomas of Aquinas about the Unmoved Mover.

The Unmoved Mover needs no energy. At the big band, the universe appears to have sprung out from nothingness. Nothing, no space, no energy, no time, no anything. A complete void.

St. Thomas of Aquinas argued that what what we know of creation comes from what has been revealed of God’s will.

Universe: All existing matter and space considered as a whole, the cosmos, approximately ten billion light years in diameter.
It’s expanding into Rosie O’Donnell.

Do we really care?

The universe is expands the space between objects like two points on the surface of a ballon as it is filled with gas; however there is no way to know if the universe its self is expanding as we cannot see the (present) boundaries (if any) in real time. We cannot be sure that the universe is not a set size with objects rushing apart to fill the unobserved (and perhaps unobservable) boundaries ...

Objects get further apart, but conversely all objects are going to the same place (at varying speeds) - called the Great Attractor.

Recommend some form of aspirin at this point for incipient headaches brought on by attempting to make sense of something that by definition does not make sense except in mathematics ...

Yes you should care since you are part of the universe and are expanding at the same rate ... this account for how people we knew seem to disappear after a time and why some husbands and wives become estranged (that is, distant from each other and divorce) ...

Article assumes its expanding but that’s a debatable position.

At the big band, the universe appears to have sprung out from nothingness

So this theory originated in the 1940's a.k.a. the Glenn Miller era ;?
