Once the word was out that Levin had future family working for Cruz, he went off the rails, ranting about how there was no need to reveal his close familial association with Cruz, how it woundn't affect his objectivity and so on. I remember hearing him rant against Sundance for pointing it out. He's been in a tailspin ever since.
It not only affected Levin’s objectivity, it destroyed it utterly and drove him entirely insane.
