Nancy will speak, because every has-been knows being anti-Trump is the easiest way to get positive attention these days. Positive from the socialists, that is.
Nancy sang as part of a duo in one of the most unusual songs of the 1960’s. It was called “Some Velvet Morning/Phaedra”, written and accompanied by Lee Hazelwood.
To use the old lingo; the song was ‘trippy’.
The stupidest and most idiotic song I ever heard!
That was the "Nancy and Lee" album. I have it - it's actually quite good. "Some Velvet Morning" is indeed "trippy". "Summer Wine" and "Elusive Dreams" are downright poignant. Granted, the lyrics are nowhere near Leonard Cohen or Bob Dylan quality, and Nancy Sinatra's vocals could have been done by just about any female singer. What made the album was their juxtaposition with Lee Hazelwood's vocals. That's what provided the unique quality to the album. Well, the cover art on the album jacket helped, too.
