I was shocked at this news this morning. #RIPAce
yes, good description
being a tiger fan, we saw him alot.
he was a loose cannon on the mound. reminded me of pedro martinez, sans breaking ball.
a loss to the game
I’m a Tiger fan also having escaped the communist regime of Illinois a few years back.
Michigan has a reason to be happy that Trump is now the President.

Last season, he was involved in a humorous incident. He was involved in a benches-clearing incident with the White Sox in 2015, and he was apparently a little worried there’d be more bad blood a year later. He was looking down while on the mound when his catcher ran up to have a word. He caught the movement out of the corner of his eye and kind of flinched back into a defensive stance, fearing he was being charged. Everyone had a good laugh about it and I think it ended the tension. I kind of didn’t like the guy until that moment.
I left michigan about 9 years ago. born and raised there, but it was time to go due to no work.
I still am an avid Tiger fan. We now follow them on road trips......minneapolis, KC, chicago, etc
was at the game in st louis a couple of years back when miggy hit # 400. that was cool.
Yes
A few hours later he was dead. Killed when the car in which he was a passenger was hit by a drunk driver.
The penalty for drunk driving needs to be increased . . . and those responsible for taking other lives need to be treated as murderers.
We hear nothing about the victims of Oscar Tavares and Jose Fernandez.
Oscar Taveras Girlfriend was killed through his drunken foolishness. Jose Fernandez’s two best friends, or two OF his best friends were also killed though his drunken and drug fueled foolishness.
I am sorry that I can not find compassion for those that put others in danger through their drunkenness . . . I thank God that it has not touched my family - but countless of families have been.
You are so correct.
Yeah, I saw that game. That was hysterical. He was a good kid though, and he definitely made the game fun to watch.
That is really a shame.
Prayers for him and his family.
