The Patriot Way: Do You Want to Win a Super Bowl or Not?
SI ^ | January 27, 2017 | Robert Klemko

Chris Long had a decision to make last spring. At 30 years old and several seasons removed from a spate of double-digit sack campaigns, he knew he wanted to leave the Rams, who hadn’t reached the playoffs in his eight NFL seasons. There were a handful of attractive options for the four-down defensive end, a former second overall pick who could be had on the cheap. The Lions, Cowboys and Falcons were all interested, but Long left money on the table and took a one-year deal with the Patriots for $2.3 million, with only $1 million guaranteed.

"I don’t care how many they win"

Hmmm, I'm thinking maybe a Jets, fan - or the Browns. Or Houston (they will never be 1/2-the team the Oilers were).

My team got screwed on the dumbest rule ever created. I still don't understand the tuck rule. That was the year the Raiders would have won the Superbowl. Instead they traded their coach and lost to him in the Superbowl the following year.

The act wasn't a breach of NFL rules as there was no rule in place forbidding it.

The Snow plow game should not be on this list. If it wasn't illegal, how is it cheating?

A year later, however, the NFL banned the use of snowplows on the field during games.

The rule was changed because Shula was on the Rules Committee and made damned sure the rule was changed. A petulant little whiney-assed turd.

The Cheatriots, Bill Belicrook and Tom Deflatey will never- EVER- have my respect or well-wishes. Cheaters deserve nothing but scorn, derision, and disqualification. One more reason to hate the NFL.

Dang! I’m married already so, I’ll have to pass. Ashley sounds like a winner who needs a real man.

Never proven.

Oh? So Tom Brady got a 4-game suspension because his socks didn't match?

>> “We you get punished TWICE for cheating, you are cheaters. And everyone knows it.” <<

Perhaps anywhere but the NFL!

Rodger cheats.

Don’t be a bull$hit believer!

If it was never proven, it’s because Goodell shut down the investigation and destroyed the evidence, once evidence was found. Goodell is Kraft’s personal employee.

Brady isn’t in it for the money.

His family could buy the NFL as a casual investment.

Hah, another bitter loser, apparently! Well, for someone who hates the NFL, you sure spend a lot of time in NFL threads.

Cheaters deserve nothing but scorn, derision, and disqualification.

Harry Reid admitted that he lied about Romney's taxes and, after having made the admission, refused to express any remorse of embarrassment for having done so.

You think Goddell or the Jets' owners will ever make such an admission?

“My team got screwed on the dumbest rule ever created. I still don’t understand the tuck rule.”

Maybe you don’t know, but the Patriots had the same call, the Tick rule, go against them earlier the same year in a game against the Cleveland Browns.

And maybe the Football Gods were dishing out some payback for the playoff game a few years earlier between the Patsd and Raiders, when they called a truly bogus roughing the passer against the Patriots, that allowed Stabler and the Raiders to go on to win the game.....Football Karma!

That’s ridiculous. Goodell had to go after Brady to placate the other owners. They know Goodell works for Kraft and protects the Patriots. If he whitewashed the Pats again, the other owners would have stopped supporting Goodell.
