What is the “O” ring Miss USA is holding in her right hand? Does it control the flap of the wings on her head piece?
If you look at her cape, it seems like it has some rigid bracing in it. I wonder if maybe it is intended to open when she pulls that? As a wing span.
When seen from the side, her costume makes better sense. The wings on her headpiece are like wings, sort of Captain America or similar. Her shield has stars and two eagle heads on it. I thought it looked really cool in that silver and a lot less conspicuously gaudy than many of them.
