What’s a “lawyer proof” trigger please.

What’s a “lawyer proof” trigger please.


The idea being if you were to design a proper trigger(meaning smooth, light, maybe even adjustable by the user) and someone got killed or hurt by inadvertant discharge, then the manufacturer would be sued.

A trigger where you have to exert a lot of energy to pull it... usually more than 6 lbs. of pull strength. You can call it “lawyer proof” because it is very difficult to “accidentally” pull it all the way through.. however such a strong pull generally means that if you do not have strong hands and fingers or you don’t pull the trigger smoothly but jerk it a bit you are likely to go off target.

Overly long and heavy trigger pull that absolutely precludes any claim of accidental discharge.
