True story: when my son was three years old he came home and said to me, “Your butt’s hanging out.” I asked him where he heard that and he replied, “Kelly” who was an adorable little girl with big blue eyes and blond hair with whom he played.
I explained that Kelly was a nice little girl, but she didn’t always use nice words. Sure enough, when we were visiting my inlaws, my mother-in-law told him that there would be no nightly story until he picked up his toys. he looked at her and said, much to my chagrin, “Nana, your butt’s hanging out!”
