The red headed freckled girl I had zero interest in always snagged me for hand and waist holding laps skating to that song whilst the girl I actually did like got snagged by older guys

They’d dim the lights and do the sparkles

Cheesy but it served a purpose

I tried to be kind and not hurt her feelings

I was raised right after all

She probably grew up to be a bombshell

We loved to the north side of town and roller rinks faded into nostalgia
