Posted on 04/07/2017 4:09:26 PM PDT by MNDude

Trumps recent strike on Syria seems to have surprised many of us. Which of the following is your position?

A. President Trump was right to attack Syria for the gas attacks. B. I wish Trump did not attack Syria.

B.

And apparently Mr. Trump’s SecDef Jim Mattis changed mind on the poll:

WHITE HOUSE MEMO:

President Donald J. Trump calls on all civilized nations to join us in seeking to end the slaughter and bloodshed in Syria – and also to end terrorism of all kinds and all types. We ask for God’s wisdom as we face the challenges of our very troubled world. We pray for the lives of the wounded, and for the souls of those who have passed. And we hope that as long as America stands for justice, then peace will – in the end – prevail.

Spicer: It is in the vital national security interests of the United States to prevent or deter the spread or use of deadly chemical weapons.

A & B. While I wish he had not attacked, the use of chemical weapons by anyone deserves a response in a civilized world.

I see no end game in this grand standing. Just like swatting a gnat on an elephant. Blowing up things for the helluva it. I know it’s fun. in my younger days I blew up lots of things studying demolitions in the Marine Corps. Like it or not, Assad is a stabilizing force in an uncivilized Mideast world. Is something better waiting in the wings to take over if Assad leaves? All I sees are crazed Islamists.

Dude I agree, recent history proves it

I will support Trump on this one. Sends message to Russians and helps public at large understand Trump is not allied with Putin. It sent a message to N Korea via China that Trump will act if necessary.

He is the president. Assad crossed MANY lines. Mr. Trump didn’t tell what he was going to do; he just did it.
Above all, he did NOT simply say, “Would you believe, don’t cross THIS line?”

Yes I do support what he did. I am not sure he fully understands, but I figure he does. Billion dollar pipelines and the control of the EU. Yea...the Ukraine was just the opening act.

How's he going to stop it??? You think Russia and Iran will go home now???

According to Tillerson the administration knows exactly where the Sarin gas is stored at the airport. He says the last attack was the third, not the first. This isn’t new, they been watching for a while. They know what kind of Syrian bomber flew the mission and that it was loaded at that airport. They know the name of the pilot. They know the Russians were present when the bombs were loaded.

Why isn't this common knowledge??? If Trump would have told people that there would be far more people supporting him...

NO. If it was that important of an operation in the Middle East, some other county over their with their own air force coulda taken care of it. Like Saudi Arabia.

FREEPERS need to support Trump on this. Don’t let the liberals win this. Hopefully the trolls and Democrats don’t overwhelm the poll with their B answer. Liberals and trolls hate Trump.
