I have to say I probably knew little, if any, when I was in Pittsburgh, just based on how few Jewish kids I knew [we had literally ONE in our HS} but going to law school at GW I learned much in the way of Yiddish just based on my peer group and friends.
Yeah, same with me. But college and Seinfeld instead of law school.
One of my high school teachers may have been Jewish, but I didn’t know any until college. One kid, Glen Rosenthal, once amusingly accused me of spewing “down home” sayings.
