Some would say that we need far less Latitudinarians in the Church and more Latin-attitudinarians ...

Word for the day haiku:

Tough word for haiku:
“Latitudinarian”.
Seven syllables!

Bonus 7-syllable word haiku:

Not the way to be,
latitudinarian.
Principles matter!

Contradictory:

catholicism.

Went by the restaurant after mass and wow. Bathrooms almost done. Kitchen almost done. Water being hooked up to all those sinks you need. Amazing. One of the contractors they like wants to stay on as the bartender nights. He grew up next door to us. Interviews are done and job offers going out. It’s a mad scramble to opening. Mind boggling.

A latitudinarian
was walking down the street
with Christians, Jews, and Muslims,
Buddhists, Jains, and Sikhs.
His mind was opened further,
that certainly must be said,
cause the stinking, ISIS Muslim
cut off his open head.

(He's now a longitudinal
latitudinarian,
he was placed that way this morning
by the local cemeterian.)

Sounds like fantastic progress on the restaurant-countdown time...

Indecisive is a good description
Of what afflicts a latitudinarian-
It doesn’t appear that it matters
If they are religious or sectarian

Francis the pope appears to want
To tolerate even things criminal
Like the messages of politicians
Either when spoken or subliminal

They sound like most academics
Sucking up to the liberal kind-
That so many are not listening
Seems not to enter their mind...
