I wan DJT to announce, at the 11th hr. that things are going to be done much as they are in the private sector:

Gov’t employees who are laid off as a result of a gov’t shutdown can file for unemployment checks. Just as employees of private employers do. There should be NO back pay in full for laid off federal employees.

Period.

Let the Dems crap a brick at that point.

Yes, he should make clear he will sign no legislation that authorizes back pay for those non-essentials who were off. He should make federal workers equal to private sector workers in this regard — no better, no worse, they should apply for unemployment benefits.

But yes to back pay for those who continued to work.

Exactly, take their money and never give it back. Include Congressmen and Senators, cut all medical benefits, no one ever paid my bills when I was on the street because of a labor dispute. Fire the non-essential, great time to reduce the amount of federal workers.

Agree, no back pay this time around, tell the federal labor unions the party is over, you no work, you no get paid. Require essential personnel to report to work and if possible pay them. Pay interest payments, military personnel and social security checks. Keep the rest closed and see how much the people really miss government.

Obama and clinton made shutdowns try to hurt the people, Trump can show that hey you are paying for a bunch of crap you really don’t need.
