She was a child and teen actress in one of the most popular television shows of its era, but like some child stars tend to do, she spiraled downward in adulthood. Why? I don’t know. Hollywood and fame seem toxic to child stars for far too much of the time. I don’t get the venom and mockery. What did Erin Moran ever do to anyone on FR? Prayers for her family and anyone who knew and loved her. It was likely a very miserable way to go.
I would bet she was molested as many child stars are unless someone was watching out for her. I have heard rumors but won’t further them.....
I get the impression that some here, take their disdain for Hollywood , and apply that to former stars who have problems.
Or maybe some think she was a multi millionaire because she was on a hit TV show decades ago. And then are judgemental about what did she do with her money??? I don’t know how much she made. She probably didnt make the big bucks in her show business career.

FWIW, for many years until fairly recently, she was often quoted as trashing the show and her co-stars, called them “evil”.
I haven’t joined in the venom and mockery, except for occasionally bashing Henry Winkler for his anti-gun agenda on MacGuyver and more recently scamming old people.
They finish the show they had been hired for .... then they can get a part in any other show. Some try for a long time.
Some make it by taking a job on the other side the camera ... in the entertainment industry but it does not pay as well.’
I think child actors need real guidance and discipline from their parents and guardians. When they can’t get a job, they need to move on to another field. There has to be a Plan B and Plan C.
It happens to lots of kids in TV and commercials. They don’t have the maturity it takes to save most of their money when they are making it, and to do something other than acting.
