Another possibility is if Obama were someone’s vice-presidential running mate, and if elected, that president steps aside. Could someone run for vice-president in that manner?? The 22nd amendment doesn’t say anything about a former president running for VP. Is there anything else in the constitution or our laws regarding running for vice-president??

As a practical matter you might think no former president would take a step back and run for VP but you never know.
