So basically you’d only be eating meat, eggs, fish, and green leafy vegetables?

I think you would build your diet around the kind of starches the best gut bugs need to create a better immune system. Starchy root vegetables (both kinds of potatoes, beets, turnips, anything), all other vegetables, cooked, roasted, raw when appropriate, green leafy too, no need for green leafy to be in huge quantity. At each meal a clean source of protein (fish, healthy animals, beans). Fat that goes with that protein, or olive oil on the veggies. Coconut oil. Sea salt, peppers, good spices. Some berries. Nuts and seeds. Fermented foods like natural pickles and kimchi, kombucha, kvass, fermented fruits (maybe even some alcohol if you can handle in small quantities). I believe in raw milk or fermented dairy (good quality yogurt) and some cheese but not every day. You wouldn’t miss sugar if you roast a tray of onions and garlic every day. It’s better than candy. Oh, and I believe 85% chocolate is no longer candy: it’s a high fiber food with lots of antioxidants and benefits, so have a few squares of that if desired.

And then supplements known to have a positive effect on that kind of cancer as desired.

As well as otherwise not taking in carcinogens AS FAR AS WE CAN. No dry cleaning, no commercial laundry products, no household cleaners filled with toxic fragrances, no pesticides sprayed at home, remove off gassing flooring or furniture, no new car until it’s done offgassing, etc. Clean source of water with no fluoride, etc.

That is what I would do.

https://nutritionfacts.org is a website I find useful. Mostly short videos to make research studies accessible to the public. Run by an MD.

here’s part of his commentary on cancer and nutrition:

“Cancer is the 2nd leading cause of death in the United States, and diet may be the leading cause of cancer. The balance of evidence suggests that a whole food, plant-based diet may help prevent, treat, slow, and even reverse cancer progression. It’s never too late to start eating healthier, as cancer risk may drop after starting a plant-based diet at any age.

“Plant-based diets may be effective because they lower methionine intake, inhibit angiogenesis, intercept carcinogens and increase fiber and antioxidants. Populations eating diets centered on whole plant foods have lower rates of cancer. Eating lots of fruits and vegetables—at least nine daily servings—may boost detoxifying enzymes, lower inflammation, lower cholesterol and make for healthier bowel movements, ridding the body of excess estrogen and cholesterol.

“Research studies have focused on many specific foods associated with anti-cancer properties. These include many kinds of fruits, legumes, spices, teas and coffees, vegetables and nuts.

“Consumption of animal products, on the other hand, appears to increase the risk of cancer. Research has shown an association between increased risk of cancer and the consumption of certain foods like cooked meats, dairy, eggs, smoked fish and poultry.

“What’s behind this increased cancer risk? It may be the inflammatory Neu5Gc molecule found in meat. Certain tumors thrive in an inflammatory setting. The insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1) may also been linked to cancer. Heme iron found in the blood and muscle tissue of animal foods may also increase risk of cancer, as may the chemical pollutants in meat, which can lead to premature puberty, putting children at higher risk for cancer later in life.
