Honestly, I haven’t a clue how all of that is going to go.

I’ve got several buddies who have raised baby coons and they all say that they were the best pets they ever had.

The chicken thing is worrisome to me. What I’ve noticed so far is that the coons only steal chickens at night, and it’s only the momma coons that have babies who do it. Same deal with the red foxes. It’s only the mommas with babies that are willing to take a chance trying to sneak past my dogs.

Maybe growing up, assuming they live long enough to grow up, around the chickens they won’t bother them? My dogs couldn’t care less about the chickens these days, but they’ve been around them for years. They were trouble in the early days.

Maybe if I keep the coons well-fed they won’t be interested in chickens? I just don’t know.

If it doesn’t work out for them to stay here there are plenty of rescue shelters that are set up to handle wild critters that were orphaned when they were young.

Truth be told I’ve wanted a pet coon since I was a little kid so we’ll give it a shot and see what happens.

LOL. Now that last sentence is a surprise. Here I was feeling so sorry for you being stuck taking care of those babies, and thinking you were so noble to agree to do it when you would rather have bashed their heads.

Only to find out that you secretly were just as illogical as the ladies. LOL Bless your lil’ pea pickin’ heart!
