Another 9/11 truther saga. Just because we are hell bent on proving a theory that has yet to reach a guilty party we have a family that wants none of it.

(1) Julian Assange's claims are not a whacked out conspiracy theory (covered in this thread).

(2) The parents have been dragged into something they don't understand. They didn't do the leak--they probably did not know their son did it either. So they are victims here--but victims without any knowledge.

(3) We are not using them--the DNC and their co-conspirators are.

That possibility flew the coop when a high-level career DNC PR flack became their “spokesman”.

Are you paying any attention at all to what’s going on here? How is the “under duress” nature of the family’s behavior not as completely obvious to you as it is to every other observer?

That’s a very fair point, and it’s the only explanation that I can come up with for the statements they have been making. It’s not that they don’t want to know the truth nor that they don’t want someone caught, just that if they feel this was not a hit but just street violence, they don’t want to have to endure the endless antics of a media that can be awfully intrusive and insensitive.

However, this is not a private even. When people are charged with murder the charges are brought by the state or a presiding legal jurisdiction because the people have the right to have crimes punished, regardless of how the victim or family feel about it. It is different than a civil or private affair.

Even the killer (or assassin) cannot be found and charged, the people at least have the right to know if Seth Rich was involved in the leaking or transmission of DNC information. The Rich family do not have the right to suppress the pursuit of truth in this matter.
