I drive it annually at least
My boys want to see where my family and I once lived and thrived
But I’m strapped and take precautions like I would in a third world brown or black turdville
I haven’t traveled west of I55 since the very early 90’s.
Funny I can remember being with my mom on Capitol St in the early 1960’s while she shopped me and my sister would run up and down the streets and play in the back alleys. Again, never a thought from us or our mother that something sinister could happen.
My aunt used to drop me and my cousin and friends off at the colliseum for rock concerts mid 60’s before we had driver licenses and after the show we would run up the hill to the Krystal there on Capitol St. This would be after 10:30 pm. Couldn’t do that now!
