1.incapable of being expressed or described in words; inexpressible: ineffable joy. 2. not to be spoken because of its sacredness; unutterable: the ineffable name of the deity.
Etymology: First recorded in 1400-50; late Middle English word from Latin word ineff ā bilis. See in-3, effable
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

The government is known to FUBAR a great many things, and I cannot think of anything so unfailingly easy that the government couldn’t screw it up — such a thing would be ineffable, if you know what I mean.

In his sermon yesterday, our priest used the word “cacophony” to describe the noise and nonsense that we experience in our world every day, especially from the media. I heard that word as “covfefe”, and laughed! At coffee hour, I told our priest about my mis-hearing. He concluded that if he had used the new word “covfefe”, many would not have known the difference!!!!
But much easier to pronounce than uneefable.
A certain religion claims their holy book is so ineffable that it can only be properly understood in the original language.
Which is how they hide what it REALLY says.
