No poodles. Too much maintenance.
I used to disdain them until I met a Standard Poodle who loved to hunt. Very intelligent, not at all a small dog, Lab sized. They don’t shed either. Just buzz cut them, shear ‘em like a sheep. Sure, they’ll be embarrassed and hide behind the couch for a few days but hey I didn’t like getting haircuts when I was a kid, either.
