ST. LOUIS (AP) — A federal judge on Tuesday approved a settlement in the wrongful-death lawsuit filed by the parents of Michael Brown, an unarmed, black 18-year-old, whose fatal shooting by a white police officer nearly three years ago in Ferguson, Missouri, set off months of protests.
Financial terms of the settlement approved by U.S. District Judge E. Richard Webber were not disclosed. Anthony Gray, the attorney for Brown's parents, declined comment, as did Ferguson Mayor James Knowles III.

I’m guessing that they figured it would be cheaper to pay these blood suckers off than take a chance in a civil trial. That and to avoid more riots.

How much did they give the cop and the store owners?
If it was over $3-million of insurance covereage, it means that money is coming from the coffers of the City of St. Louis, which does NOT have the money for such things. “Wrongful death”? No, they should not be awarded ANY money for that because his death was a result of choices he made and the actions of the cop that resulted in his death were NOT WRONGFUL! They were prudent and saved HIS LIFE!
