We’re not talking about UFO sightings, per se, but actual contact and kidnappings..................
I grew up at the foot of a mountain not far from the Blue Ridge, and attended university in the Smokies. The only thing that I’ve ever had happen, and it’s happened several times, has been a very intense sensation of being watched while alone in the woods. Primal, hair standing up on the back of your neck sort of thing. I’ve never seen anything out of the way in that regard though, not even unusual tracks.
I saw a Yeti in the doctor’s office yesterday. It was just sitting there, in the waiting room, all by itself. And then some lady came rushing in from the hallway, yelling “there you are!” She snatched it up in her bare hands, took a long satisfying gulp, refilled it at the water fountain, and walked out.
Survivor Man had a short season where he would go out in the woods looking for Bigfoot. Would meet up with a local Bigfoot hunter and then listen to their stories, set up cameras and head out for a week by himself.
He was always looking for the more “reasonable” answer that it was a bear, etc. Many times he wouldn’t agree with the local Bigfoot hunter on the various explanations.
But a few times things would happen that he couldn’t account for with a bear, squirrel, etc. So I think it opened his mind. Interesting show.
The retelling is pretty chilling. Whatever it was, they weren’t making it up.
Your post #27:
“Its very interesting that ... Space Aliens appear only to rednecks camping in the woods with lots of alcoholic beverages in hand.......................”
Your issue with my post is?????????
a bigfoot-like creature known to locals as a wood ape
If it is made of wood, it may be a witch.
That was my first thought. :) Was the creature seen gorging on lobster and kobe beef?
.
How Lowe can you rub?
.
Real story: Rob Lowe has actually been in the Ozarks.
From time to time when I am in the mood to read a good scary story, I will look up the podcast on that incident. IF a TV show would concentrate on good re-enactments of “scary stories from the woods”, it would make for great TV.
There didn't need to be anything supernatural behind it, plenty of pioneers, mountain men, Indians, renegades, Civil War deserters, hobos, trappers, runaway slaves, bandits wandering around in the woods.
Tim Hall is the only one talking publicly that I’m aware, he’s gotten more comfortable with it over time and it starts sounding like a story being told, and I guess it is. At least one of the others has talked privately about it though, that’s the one that is really chilling, not practiced or polished, just fear that’s still there even thinking about it.
Probably the Ranger’s wife thought he had company in there.
Middle of the night, temps near zero, high wind and knee deep fresh snow, over a several mile steep uphill hike?
She’s have to be pretty pissed.
Did you see a werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand?
Okay, so he met Hillary in the Ozarks.
Once in London.....but that was a long time ago....
