As a poor Southerner, married with 4 kids, I always drove used cars; mostly Chevrolets & Fords. Once bought a 1956 Cadillac convertible for $200.
My first new car was a 1987 Pontiac Fiero. LOL!!!!
I loved the looks of that car.
One of my co-workers bought that car the first year it was out. (never a good idea)
The car was nothing but trouble for him. Like the old VW Bugs you had to drop the engine out of the car to work on it. So getting it worked on was expensive.
He didn’t keep it long so I think it was all warranty work. I think GM gave up on the car too quickly.
The Caddy might have been a good investment.
