Does/Did Canada have “birthright citizenship?” Both her parents were Australian. How did she become a Canadian citizen?

Canada does have birthright citizenship. It seems we and they are the last two countries on earth to have never repealed or modified it.

I had the same thought.

I recall when some FReepers were accusing Cruz of being a Canadian that someone posted the Canadian law and it would have required an application for citizenship to be submitted before he was age 21 (or 22?). His mom didn’t submit an application, so he was never a Canadian.

Same should be true for this Australian woman.
