lauding a movie that’s a reminder of western courage and sacrifice just isn’t allowed - might give people ideas
“We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.” Winston Churchill
You should go see it. Not much dialogue. Lots of breaking things and loud noises. And the courage of the captains of the Little Boats can’t be denied, although the 50,000 bravest of the brave that dug in and fought until they were out of ammo and that lost their lives holding German ground forces off the beach so 330,000 could be rescued is a bit skimmed over. It’s a very strong reminder of the sense of duty and determination and sheer willpower and selflessness that has been the hallmark of Anglo-Saxon culture, so liberals will hate the movie.
Thanks!
