We used to try and out-do each other by trying to get as much ‘free memory’ below 640k as we could by utilizing himem.

Those were the days. I remember using HIMEM and assorted other tricks to clear up memory.

I learned a heck of a lot fiddling with DOS and the earliest Windows.

Right and you used bank switching to fool the CPU so you use more then

DOS was a lot easier to use than Windows 10...........................
