A war with North Korea would be hell -- And the aftermath even worse -Huh?

If we expand this out a little more, what if North Korea—in a future scenario where President Trump begins a massive buildup like the First or Second Gulf Wars—decides to strike first and launch not only attacks on Seoul, but deploy the full weight of his conventional military forces in an all-out assault against the South?

The most important thing they have is rockets and artillery. Any conventional conflict would begin with a two sided artillary exchange similar to what was done in WWI. And unfortunately alot of US troops are in range. To me the biggest issue would be to cripple communications...so nobody could issue a ‘launch’ order.

But if Kim does that it would a declaration of war!

We are signatories of an Armistice with the Norks. It would be a cessation of that 'agreement'. The State of War has long existed.

When do we get our civilian defense instructions? I’ve already blacked out my headlights. I make sure no light can sneak out of my house blinds at night. I’ve begun to plant my victory garden. But when do the air raid drills start? When do we get told which air raid shelter to go to? Do we shelter in place? Do we stick our heads under a desk? What are we allowed to bring to the air raid shelter and where is it? Does three soundings of the air raid siren mean “nuclear”. I forget. Who is the civilian defense czar? Who is running things around here?

Heavy sheet plastic and duck tape? Last I heard that and go shopping. If we keep doing that, we win! /sarc, if needed.

No, the problem is that this writer thinks that we will spend a lot of time building up our troops like we did in the Iraq wars. And that the Norks will launch an attack on Seoul in response to our buildup. Apparently he thinks that all wars are fought the same way. Well he’s in for a surprise. So is Fat Boy Kim.

Knowing the way Trump operates, if he's talking "Fire and Fury" it'll likely be sniper teams, and sabotage subterfuge. Lil' Kim will think it's his own people and start firing on his own army.

This guy is a fruitcake. He sounds like an emotional 11 year old. He states NK has “thousands of missiles.”

Ain’t gonna be a clean and easy way to have it done with - still likely to be necessary though.

Very Short fight! When we first went into Iraq we controlled the air in the first 30 minutes. We hit the defensive radar and power grid first leaving Saddam with just a few Skuds on portable launchers. We have the ability to drop anything the the fat boy puts into the air from that point on. The only real defensive move he can make will be on the southern border with artillery and troops. And just like in Iraq they will give up the fight in the thousands. His people are starving, his troops are starving, there’s not much left to put up a fight.

We know exactly where every one of those missiles are located and can pinpoint them within 50 yards. We are watching every maintenance operation being done on these in real time.

Then, how do you feed a starving North Korean population of 25 million people? How can you logistically bring enough resources in to feed the hungry when there are no roads, bridges or transportation network to do it?

Simple. You don't. Any North Korean attempting to cross the DMZ will be shot. Drive them north into China, and let China deal with them.

But if there is serious fighting, I expect that war to be very short. Not necessarily because of nukes. But because NK is a paper tiger.

Don't count on a short war.

NK has chemical weapons. NK has nukes. Imagine the footage of a mushroom cloud somewhere in South Korea, or possibly, Japan....or the West coast.

CNN and the others will be in Seoul showing the dead and blaming Trump for starting the war.

If you thought coverage of Vietnam was bad, or the "Highway of Death" in Desert Storm......you ain't seen nothing yet.

At this stage NK is a pimple that needs to be popped.
