Dennis Vollick from the Sheffield Lake VFW called in to say they won't be showing Browns games this season either after 11 player knelt from the national anthem. Yesterday, Strongsville VFW posted a sign saying they liked the Browns but loved the flag.
People have ways, exercise them.
Good call by the VFW’s.
Maybe this will spread...the VFW is right, we love our flag more than football.
Yes. FLAG FOOTBALL
You BOTH HONOR he FLAG BEFORE you play FOOTBALL
They go together
NO FLAG, NO FOOTBALL
This disrespect for the flag doesn’t say much for the NFL owners except Jerry Jones of the Cowboys...
Our boycott last year cost them 10-15% viewership.
Hope it grows this year.
$7 billion is taxpayer dollars for corporate welfare from taxpayers to stadiums around the country to house these millionaire thugs.
Shut them down. Let them get jobs as janitors.
It’s pretty easy to not watch the Browns.
They are protesting because of the disrespect shown to the flag. Good.
Great news. Can’t wait to not watch the NFL this season.
Excellent!
Fall is prime hiking season in Arizona. So many beautiful sites to explore and sights to see. I remember the days when football was an American sport, but like so many things that have crumbled to dust, we pick up and move on.
Good. This kind of “social justice” protest crap may be popular with the kids from the Art Institute, but not so much with Browns fans, and CERTAINLY not with the VFW or American Legion posts in the Cleveland area.
Wonder how many of the “Protesters” were training camp fodder who knew they would be cut anyway
Good on them. I’m again this year #BoycottNFL
Keep politics off the field. Ample opportunity to speak/act to cameras at other times.
I have less problem with those not wanting to stand if they just stay in locker room until after the national anthem. At least they aren’t disrespecting the flag, the crowd and the viewing audience during the actual playing of the anthem.
The Gateway Pundit picked up this story after seeing it here on Freerepublic. Some good details. Thanks guys! Keep spreading the word wherever you can.
They couldn't exist without their loyal beyond comprehension fan base. It's a small base, with Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Indianapolis and Detroit all overlapping its local range. They seem to be mostly patriotic US citizens, who believe in serving their country and America-first values.
What happened is beyond comprehension. That so many of these men-children could plan such a large number to protest speaks volumes about the coaches and management. Either they don't control their players or they don't give a damn about their fan base.
I can't wait to see how the Browns handle this. One suggestion out there for starters is to not go to the owners truck stops. It doesn't take that many making such a decision to seriously impact the bottom line. Also, don't buy or wear Browns gear. I'd call it "soft boycott". Don't totally boycott sponsors, but do so when there's a reasonable replacement.

Excellent point, and one that I have advocated as well. The teams and the NFL have a right to set a particular code of conduct. This does not violate a player's "freedom of speech" as has been the claim of the apologists for this behavior.
Just as the NFL was within its authority to prevent the Dallas Cowboys from wearing a sticker on their helmets to honor the 5 police officers who were murdered by the BLM terrorist during an anti-police rally, the NFL can issue an edict that requires players to stay in the dressing room if they want to make a spectacle of themselves by disrespecting the flag.
The TV networks only encourage this nonsense by focusing the cameras on the players during their little "look at me" protests during the anthem.
Hmm....I’m surprised the NFL even allows it. They’ve stopped churches from showing the Super Bowl.
If the black folks and the white folks all boycott the NFL, who’s left to watch?
