The Covenant is the agreement to live under G-d’s law, the Commandments.
If the Covenant is broken, all bets are off. And no, the “New Testament” did not absolve us from responsibility. Matthew 5:17-19.
I think we, as a nation, broke it a long time ago — for example, when the government sanctioned the killing of the unborn. Now there are 50 million reasons for retribution, among many other reasons.
