“Tens of millions could starve.”

That’s really a sad statement,,to think millions of people don’t know how to grow a vegetable garden (there’s even winter time vegetables that can be grown.) Or go catch fish in a stream. Or last option (I love animals) shoot a rabbit, deer, or squirrel.

Maybe millions would quickly learn how to fish. Walk out of those cities and find a good pond or fruit tree, maybe some wild muscadines. Since no one would be able to text, there would be plenty of free time to hunt for food.

IMHO, the problem was Bush — he allowed his political enemies to set the tone and make false accusations. This enabled Obama to win. I do not like Bush for this reason.

I turned 18 just in time to vote for President Ford. From that time on excepting Trump, the only Republican that didn't cower in a corner when the press/Dems called them names or flung accusations was Reagan. The rest did nothing and thus never energized their base. The Clintons were so bad and corrupt that it allowed Bush II to barely sneak in. His weak spie in regards to defending himself and conservatism gave us Odumbo.

Can all of that ordinance fit on a single BUFF?

Does that mean we’re not getting the Pueblo back?

It’s the transformers. They are not protected for the most part and already pretty much built on demand, not stockpiled.

There is a GA power depot close to me. Tons of transformers there. Even the big ones that people tell you are made on demand and take weeks/months to build (and that we don’t have, oops).

A major hurricane will do more power distribution damage than any crap NK EMP. We get one or two (or more) each year. Are we currently starving in GA because of the power issues in TX? Will TX not have power for years to come? Do they not have enough transformer replacements, on hand?

There’s a big difference between half the transformers in Houston and half in the US. There’s also a big difference with however many you saw in storage. It doesn’t take a very sophisticated bomb to do massive damage to the grid. Someday someone will be crazy enough to try it. I’d rather see a list of those who might have than know the one who did.

Sad, but true.

Many millions would simply be unable to cope. Even with modern weapons and fishing equipment it isn’t easy to shoot or catch enough food to survive. Also, after about a week, most people are out of anything to eat at home and those who are hungry will kill others to steal their food.

Even today with cheap abundant food there are those who would rather rob others than work. Imagine after there where no products on store shelves and no prospects of them ever being stocked again.

Civilization is very fragile.

Exactly! You nailed it. Republicans need to realize that Dems do not play fair. Trump is great this way and hits back.
