Chess is a difficult game to concentrate on with all these other distractions. Used to be a time when you could play a game of chess uninterrupted but now everybody’s checking their iPhone and thinking about what to add to the playlist...Steely Dan or War On Drugs? What’s the latest on Hurricane Irma? Did that crazy man in Korea shoot off another missile? Damn, that other guy just took out my bishop. Should have paid more attention.
