His solution to energy was to wear a sweater and keep the heat low.

To this day I will not wear sweater’s and I always turn up my heating system. While IMHO, Carter is one of the worst president’s foisted on America...Obama makes Jimmy look like a peanut farmer....Oh!.....he already is? Mmmm.

Jimmah Cahtah should catch the next flight to Pyong Yang.
And stay there.

Taking advice from Mr Peanut Butter is like taking boat building advice from the builders of the Titanic.

In 1994 during the Clinton presidency, Carter appointed himself as Emissary to North Korea to negotiate a UN oversight of their nuclear program and to halt their nuclear weapons program. His efforts were touted as bringing the threat of NK’s nuclear weapons program to an end.

“Former President Jimmy Carter, back from meetings with the leaders of North and South Korea, went to the White House today and proclaimed that the crisis regarding North Korea’s suspected effort to build nuclear weapons was over.”

I would confront Jimmy Carter, gently because of his 92 years, with the above history and ask him to explain how it is that today North Korea is setting off 240k ton hydrogen bombs that cause major earthquakes?

Harland and Wolff at least had a good reputation, and they are still in business and were able to learn from that one big mistake. They did tempt God though, by calling the Titanic “unsinkable”; her architect, Thomas Andrews, was among her dead.

The Titanic’s immediate predecessor in the same class, the Olympic, had a 24-year career and had the nickname “Old Reliable”.

If I were in President Trump’s place, I’d send Jimmy to NK to conduct negotiations with the stipulation that the Norks not send him back.

Carter was just feckless, like Sessions. The Iranians ate his lunch. The Russians ate his lunch. His solution to energy was to wear a sweater and keep the heat low.

Sessions has gotten busy going after sanctuary cities that protect illegal immigrants. Have we had another Attorney General do that in recent decades, and if Sessions goes, is he likely to be replaced by someone else who will? Everyone who hates Sessions on this site seems to prefer liberal RINOs like Giuliani and Christie as possible AGs, who themselves oppose deporting illegals.

Like I said, horrible president. But much better than any we’ve had since 1988. And they keep getting worse every year. I’m hoping Trump breaks that chain.

Carter was an ineffectual President, but at least he's personally likable and not a corrupt sleaze like the Clintons or a two-faced conman like the Bushes. As to Trump breaking the cycle, a lot of that will depend on who has his ear from now until the end of his Presidency. I wasn't happy to see Bannon go, especially not with McCain's buddy McMaster or Trump's own liberal daughter whispering in his ear.
