Was listening to streaming radio when this tune came on. Brings back memories. Love this tune.
How many ya'll can say you remember it?
"Hmm Hmm...Him"
I’d rather not. To save others time it is Sweet City Woman, many of us heard it plenty of times already back in the day.
Here are brief snippets of all the Top 100 songs from 1971....

It still sucks.
It sounds like they're hog yodeling.
November 1971, first heard it on KHJ, Los Angeles. The boss station itself. Campy but good.
I remember it, though I didn’t put it together just from the title.
Here’s a pretty one—also from 1971—with a lovely storyline:
Yep, a one hitter.
Not a bad little tune for its time.
I dropped a needle on it more than just a few times when I was working in radio in the 70’s.
Remember it well but it couldn’t hold a candle to “Me And You And A Dog Named Boo.”

Stampeders video performing the same tune on YouTube (Sweet City Woman, 1971):
Agree, a far better song. Being about 20 back when this song came out I had some of those same sentiments.
Remember it on CKLW back in the mid-sixties when I was about 10...
I remember it. The wonders of YouTube is most songs can be easily found.
Same band, much better song, imo.
I have it on my iTunes “Happy Music” playlist, along with two versions of “Something in the Air”, Herman’s Hermits doing “I’m Into Something Good”, a host of Beach Boys music, and Janis Joplin’s “Mercedes Benz”.
(And yes, I believe the comma should be outside the matched quotation marks.)
Oh yes.
that is a blast from the past KHJ
Like it better than I did the first tie around.
Like it better than I did the first time around.
