We’re already citizens of two separate countries, and 90 percent of the vileness and hatred for the other half is coming from the Left.

I don’t know about that. I bet our side hates them as much as they hate us - they just spew it wildly everywhere they go, like a dog peeing, and they have the media as their 24/7 mouthpiece.
Well, when it comes to religion; or lack of it, I’d say our side is much more Christian. It is a struggle, but Our Lord told us—directly—to love our enemies.
For religious reasons alone, I’d say their side is naturally going to be more craven and vindictive, like badly raised children, without a Higher Power teaching them, and a clear disdain for the spiritual.
Still, I don’t really hate them. I am—because of my job—friendly with many people on the Left. As far as politics, I forbid that to get in our way. If they spout on, I ask them to just stop. Face-to-face, it works.
Oh, and I don’t do Facebook. That in itself is tearing things up. Even beyond politics and religion.
