White House petition giving Trump a patriotic alternative to amnesty
White House petition ^ | 9/19/17 | self

Trump clearly favors legalizing DACA recipients and perhaps all DREAMers. He clearly isn't going to do mass deportations of DREAMers.

If you oppose amnesty, then you have to give him an alternative plan. This petition does exactly that, proposing that Trump helps repatriate DREAMers via a voluntary program that would help them reestablish themselves in their home countries.

It has the following advantages:

* It's a workable plan. * It wouldn't get tied up in the courts. * It would help the USA and Mexico. * It won't incentivize future illegal immigration. * Trump can promote and defend it. * Those who oppose it can be made to look bad to their base. * It wouldn't cost as much money as other plans. * It will appeal to Trump's desire for big solutions.

The reality is that Trump isn't going to do mass deportations of DREAMers or DACA recipients. Trump wants to have a "big heart" and obviously he opposes mass deportations because of that. Not to mention that mass deportations would be blocked by Congress or tied up in the courts for years.

Please sign today and let your friends know via social networks and email. Also, please reach out to talk show hosts and major Trump backers and ask them to support the petition. Supporting a plan like this will help Trump where supporting amnesty undercuts him to his base.

If anyone has a better plan to stop amnesty that's workable and that Trump would support, then by all means start a petition for that.

(Note: the URL's very long but a shorter version is bit.ly/stopamnesty ).

“Trump clearly favors legalizing DACA recipients and perhaps all DREAMers. He clearly isn’t going to do mass deportations of DREAMers.”

(Lurch groan) As far as I got. We get enough question-begging from the MSM.
He will do what we elected him to do: build a wall and send illegals back.
Why are you so anxious to surrender after winning? Grow a spine.

Amnesty is amnesty. And with chain migration the 800,000 turns into 8,000,000.

Exactly. And of course the Democrats and undocumented Democrats will want to give amnesty and citizenship to the other 11 million illegals. I don't believe the 11 million number. My guess is that it's closer to 30 million. No data, just get feel.

Since the “dreamers” are so talented that the very existence of our nation is imperiled if they are deported, they should have no problem at all adjusting to their home country.

However, the mob that terrified Nancy yesterday did not appear too bright. They all looked like good Obama Americans, just waiting for a community organizer.

Understand, but with due respect, mass, forcible deportation just is not going to happen. It would be political suicide but more importantly the effort would be for naught because not just one or two but EVERY liberal judge in the country would keep it tied up in court forEVER. And with respect to the children of illegals who were born in the US, I wouldn’t hazard a guess as to where the Supreme Court even as it is today would come down. It may be black and white to you and to many others, but for many this is a gray area legally, and courts also sit as courts of equity in addition to courts of law.

Thus, ideas like this which attempt to mitigate the issue by encouraging self-deportation deserve consideration. There will never be a perfect solution to this dilemma to those who see it as you do. Perhaps the best we can strive for is a compromise that sets a clear standard for the future so this cannot continue to happen, and resolves the issue of those presently here in a way that maintains the intent if not the precise letter of our immigration laws.

Nothing should happen before the wall is completed. After that I’m willing to talk.

“Does anybody really want to throw out good, educated and accomplished young people who have jobs, some serving in the military? Really!” doesn’t sound like someone who wants to deport DREAMers.

Trump tweeted that just six days ago:

My plan uses that against those who favor keeping DREAMers here. It can be used to undercut pro-DREAM Act propaganda.

So, if the NYT says “DREAMers are bright and talented and will helps us”, Trump can accurately point out that the NYT wants to deprive Mexico of those who are bright and talented.

I’m dumbfounded by your opening comments. Trump ran on a platform promising to end DADA, deport people on DACA, and all the other illegal aliens in the nation.

Then you respond to me saying this would cost him the next election. LOL So you think him following through and doing what he promised would really offend his followers?

One of the biggest problems with DACA is that it expanded the people who should have been covered by it. I think we call could see the need to come up with something to address thousands of kids on a train. DACA doesn’t only address them.

It addresses an expanded bunch of people who are nothing more than your convention illegal immigrant. Some of them came here much older.

You just watch. That 800,000 figure will become five to ten million, when they are graced in. Others will go to court and demand to be treated like the others.

Courts will allow it.

Signing on to this in any way, ensures millions of these folks will have successfully pulled off what they initially wanted to pull off.

They came across, knowing damn well they could game the system. They came across knowing even folks who profess to support our laws, would do their damnedest to betray these laws.

Not buying it.

Yes, cutting off benies to illegal aliens will help them to self-patriate.

Either we’re law and order people, or we’re kidding ourselves.

That’s exactly what they will do. Build the wall; put military on border; enforce employer sanctions; prosecute ID theft. If re-entry after deportation, sentence to hard labor.n

BTTT

Ann Coulter said that illegals were still petitioning to be covered by the 1986 amnesty in...2006. The Courts are NOT helping.

So, speed up the process for the ones that did it correctly and get rid of the illegals.
Oh, I like it

I agree.

You know what, I don’t think we know the “half of it”.

My take on things is that our leaders have been quietly working behind our backs to legalize as many illegals as they could over the last 27 years.

Problem is, Trump decided that it should be handled Constitutionally via the Congress....petition should be directed at your "representatives"...

If you really want to do something useful....

Donate to FR

and encourage others to do the same - tons of users (in more ways than one) and not enough donors. Pretty ironic for a site designed to put Conservative together....
