The older I get the more following sports seems like a gigantic waste of time.
The baseball season is way too long and Football has gone political which is a huge turnoff. The days of Ronnie Lott blowing guys up and Jim Burt smashing QB’s are long gone and it seems like my enjoyment of that game disappeared with them.

This is why the NFL is dying on the vine. You can say all you want about the Kapernick-style BS, and I wouldn't argue with you, but the major reason is, the NFL was a phenomenon of the Baby Boom Generation; it was born and bred in the 1960's for adolescent, college age and young twentysomething fans. We now are of an age where we finally have figured out that pro sports is a thin gruel compared to real life.

The actual funny part is that all the SJW virtue signaling by pro sports is pushed by a demographic that has no interest in pro sports other than as a target to attack.
The NFL, in particular, can win nothing from its antics and has been and will continue to constantly and consistently loose because of those antics.
NASCAR is jumping onto the same idiot death spiral.
